Method

  1. Wash and peel the potatoes, then slice them thinly in the shape of chips.
  2. In a mixing bowl, add gram flour, chili powder, turmeric, pepper, garam masala, ginger powder, garlic powder, and salt.
  3. Add water gradually and mix to form a smooth, medium-thick batter. The batter should coat the back of a spoon without dripping off completely.
  4. Heat oil in a deep pan.
  5. Dip each potato slice into the batter, ensuring it is well coated.
  6. Gently drop into hot oil and fry on medium flame until golden brown and crisp.
  7. Remove and drain on absorbent paper.
